“Shinjuku Gyoen” was created in August, 2015. When I started painting I made a realistic landscape first – an absolute impression of my visit to Tokyo Gyoen National Garden. Later, I added some abstract pink that I could notice now and then – different objects and colors shading in pink including passengers umbrellas. The pink is also some kind of imagination of blooming cherries that was already gone when I was there in the beginning of June. Concept: “They blossomed, they did not talk about blossoming.” ― Dejan Stojanovic, The Sun Watches the Sun Materials Used: Oil on canvas Original Work Size: 60cm x 85cm
