Savostaite, Diana

Biography

Originally she is from Lithuania but since 2005 she has been living and working in London. She graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts in Lithuania, where she achieved a BA honours in Fine Art and Painting. Since 2013 Sha has been working as independent artist and showing her work at different venues in London. In her work she choses to contemplate intangible every day’s life such as dreams, thoughts, fantasies and her own inner state, while in the different surroundings. For her it is interesting to search for connections between reality and fantasy, and think of what is real and what is just illusion. Music, silence, meditation, cosmos, rustle of trees, colours and the smells of nature serve as my inspiration. Her aim is to be as honest as possible when she creates. She believes art work has to convey its own mood and spirit, and that it is very essential to maintain a sensuous creative rudiment
